Resumen
El propósito de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre el Sistema de
Gestión de la Calidad (SGC) y la Gestión de la Calidad Total (GCT) en el sector
mantenimiento vehicular de Lima Metropolitana; así como determinar el nivel de
cumplimiento de la gestión de la calidad en este sector.
La investigación utilizó el modelo de Benzaquen (2013a, 2013b) para medir el nivel
de cumplimiento de la gestión de la calidad. La investigación estudió a 66 empresas del
sector mantenimiento vehicular de Lima Metropolitana, con el objetivo de comparar los
niveles de cumplimiento percibidos por las empresas que poseen y no poseen un sistema de
gestión de calidad, respecto a los nueve factores de éxito de la calidad (SGC).
La investigación presentó como resultado que las empresas que cuentan con un SGC
tuvieron un nivel de cumplimiento de la gestión de la calidad significativamente mayor que
las empresas que carecen de un SGC, permitiendo concluir que existe una influencia positiva
de los Sistemas de Gestión de la Calidad (SGC) sobre la Gestión de la Calidad Total (GCT)
en el sector mantenimiento vehicular de Lima Metropolitana.
The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between Quality Management System (QMS) and Total Quality Management (TQM) in the automotive maintenance industry in Lima Metropolitana; And to determine the level of compliance of quality management in this industry. The research used the model from Benzaquen (2013a, 2013b) to measure the level of compliance of quality management. The research studied 66 companies in the automotive maintenance industry in Lima Metropolitana, with the aim of comparing the levels of compliance received by the companies that own and do not have a quality management system, compared to the nine success factors of quality (TQM). The research result showed that companies with a QMS had a level of compliance of quality management was significantly higher than companies without a QMS, to the conclusion that there is a positive influence of the System of Quality Management (SGC) on Total Quality Management (TQM) in the automotive maintenance industry Lima.
