Escucha y enseña, únete a la resistencia: El hip hop organizado del colectivo Awqapuma y la esfera pública barrial

Abstract

La presente tesis se centra en el papel del colectivo de hip hop organizado Awqapuma, integrado por jóvenes de entre 17 y 30 años, que buscan conformar una esfera pública dentro del barrio ubicado en las Delicias de Villa del distrito de Chorrillos. Así, se busca responder la siguiente pregunta: ¿Cómo se desarrolla la actividad política del colectivo Awqapuma en el barrio, a partir de la práctica del hip hop? Para esto, la investigación parte de la identificación de la escena musical del hip hop en general hasta llegar a la escena específica del hip hop organizado. Posteriormente, se identifica a los actores hoppers, sus influencias musicales y como contribuyen estas a construir sus discursos. Además, se propone describir las estrategias que usan los actores para integrarse, relacionarse y deliberar con los demás miembros dentro del barrio. Así, este trabajo de investigación propone entender al joven hopper en su búsqueda por conformar espacios y formas de hacer y ejercer un trabajo político no convencional; que involucre además a sujetos que, como ellos, no cuentan con un poder institucionalizado; configurando así, espacios donde circula un contrapoder a través de discursos y repertorios.This thesis focuses on the role of the organized hip hop collective Awqapuma, which is integrated by young people between 17 and 30 years old: they seek to form a public sphere within the neighborhood located in the Delicias de Villa in the district of Chorrillos. Thus, it seeks to answer the following question: How does the political activity of the Awqapuma collective develop in the neighborhood, based on the practice of hip hop? For this, the research starts with the identification of the hip hop music scene in general until it reaches the specific scene of organized hip hop. Subsequently, it identifies the actors hoppers, their musical influences and how they contribute to build their discourses. In addition, it is proposed to describe the strategies used by the actors to integrate, relate, and deliberate with other members within the neighborhood. Thus, this research work proposes to understand the young hopper in his quest to shape spaces and ways of doing and exercising a non-conventional political work; which also involves subjects who, like them, do not have an institutionalized power; thus configuring spaces where a counter-power circulates through discourses and repertoires.
