Evaluación de las características morfológicas e hidrológicas que originan flujo de escombros de la quebrada San Antonio de Pedregal del distrito de Chosica, Lima

Abstract
El presente trabajo de tesis muestra un estudio de la quebrada San Antonio de Pedregal del
distrito de Chosica en Lima-Perú, la cual a lo largo de los últimos años ha sido el escenario de
eventos de flujo de escombros.
Se realizó un modelamiento hidráulico con el objetivo de evaluar las características
morfológicas e hidrológicas de la quebrada que originan flujos de escombros, así como de
obtener las zonas de riesgo.
Las investigaciones de Takahashi y Bagnold identifican y establecen los parámetros y su
relación para el análisis de los flujos de escombros, por lo que la metodología utilizada en el
presente trabajo se basó en realizar una visita de campo a la quebrada para recopilar información
del lugar, complementándola con datos obtenidos de estudios y proyectos desarrollados por
instituciones como el Centro de Estudios y Prevención de Desastres (PREDES), el Servicio
Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología del Perú (SENAMHI) y la Autoridad Nacional del Agua
(ANA) de la zona de estudio.
Para desarrollar el modelamiento, se realizaron estudios topográfico, geológico, geotécnico e
hidrológico, un modelo hidrológico con el software HEC-HMS y con ArcGIS y su extensión
HEC-GeoHMS, y la simulación de flujos de escombros con el modelo matemático Kanako-2D
para Tiempos de Retorno de 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 200 y 500 años. A partir de ello, se
obtuvieron valores de tirantes y velocidades en distintos puntos, los cuales se analizaron
relacionándolos con las características morfológicas e hidrológicas de la quebrada. Asimismo,
los flujos de escombros se clasificaron de acuerdo con el Número de Reynolds y Bagnold,
calculados a partir de los resultados.
Adicionalmente, se realizó una evaluación cualitativa que permitió elaborar los mapas de
peligro, vulnerabilidad y riesgos de la zona de estudio.
