Esclavitud, economía y evangelización : las haciendas jesuitas en la América virreinal
Abstract
Esclavitud, Economía y Evangelización recoge el trabajo de 23 investigadores de diferentes disciplinas, entre los que se encuentran historiadores, arquitectos y antropólogos. Todos ellos han estudiado el fenómeno del surgimiento y evolución de las haciendas jesuitas desde el siglo XVI hasta su expropiación en 1767. Esta edición abarca los cuatro virreinatos americanos y está organizada en tres partes. La primera recoge las investigaciones en torno a los aspectos legales, jurídicos, sociales y culturales. La segunda aborda la evolución productiva y económica de las haciendas; y la tercera estudia el uso del espacio y la arquitectura en las haciendas jesuitas.
