Planeamiento estratégico de la Región Pasco

Abstract

Mediante este planeamiento estratégico de la región Pasco nuestro principal objetivo será el de dar a conocer los principales recursos de dicha región, exponer los principales problemas de la misma y las mejores posibles soluciones para mitigar los problemas de los que actualmente adolece. Esta región cuenta con muchos recursos naturales como los agrícolas, dentro de los cuales destaca el café y el cacao orgánicos. Así mismo el turismo también es muy susceptible a ser explotado, pues al ser una región constituida por diferentes pisos ecológicos cuenta con muchos atractivos de flora y fauna. Sin embargo en la actualidad el principal recurso explotado es el minero, dado el rico suelo en minerales polimetálicos que posee la región, siendo la plata y el plomolosque más destacan. El recurso minero es el que más ingresos reporta por los altos precios en los mercados internacionales, además genera otros beneficios como el empleo de mano de obra de manera formal y aportes en educación y capacitación de manera técnica, necesarios para la actividad extractiva. No obstante la concentración en este recurso de manera casi exclusiva ha generado una dependencia de la minería, generando una explotación desmedida y contaminante, y restándole importancia e impidiendo el desarrollo de los demás recursos disponibles y por consiguiente de la región. Los problemas de la región son múltiples, destacando la falta de infraestructura y prestaciones de salud, lo cual aunado al poco nivel educativo de la población impide el desarrollo de la misma. En nuestra propuesta planteamos alternativas para mediante la agricultura y el turismo incrementar el desarrollo de la región. Estas propuestas serán viables en el tiempo y a largo plazo por lo que se convertirán en nuestra ventaja competitiva.

In Pasco’s strategic planning we have as our main goal to raise awareness of the total resources of the region, exposing the main problems of the region and presenting the best possible solutions to mitigate the problems that the region currently suffers. This region has many natural resources such as agriculture, of which the highlights are coffee and cocoa beans with their respective organic characteristics. Livestock resources are also important since the region has large tracts of land that allows its exploitation. Tourism is also very susceptible to be exploited, mainly because it is a natural region with many attractions. However the main resource is mining, given the rich soil of polymetallic ores that owns the region, which silver and leadare the most important. The mining industry boasts the most income reported due to high prices on international markets. Mining also creates other benefits, such as employment of formal labor and contributions to technical education and training, necessary for the extraction activities. Nonetheless concentrating almost exclusively on this resource has generated a dependence on mining; generating excessive exploitation and pollution, and downplaying and preventing the development of other resources available in that region. The problems of the region are numerous, especially the lack of infrastructure and health services, which coupled with low levels of education prevents the development of the region. Our proposal is mainly to articulate those resources that can help mitigate the problems affecting the region. These proposals will be viable in the long term so it will become a competitive advantage
