This study is developed with the financial information for the period 2020 provided by the company G&M Biddle Contractors EIRL, which provides rental services of machinery and buildings. Since Property, plant and equipment is one of the most important items in the financial statements, this study is justified in analyzing the accounting of the revaluation model of this item under IAS 16 and the tax regulations established by the law and the income tax regulations. The present study has three objectives, the first one related to the deductibility after the new value of the depreciation expense, the second one related to the new value of the asset and if there is an increase in the income tax and the third one a comparison of both methodologies by means of an analysis of financial ratios. The present work uses the quantitative methodology of descriptive and correlational scope in order to analyze the impact of the revaluation of the financial statements of the company under study. In order to give emphasis to this study, interviews were conducted with experts in the field to support the information obtained. Finally, it is generally concluded that the revaluation of assets generates an economic benefit to the companies that opt for this methodology and that there is no tax impact that increases the cost to the companies when adopting this methodology.
