Abstract
El presente Estado del Arte es un estudio de carácter documental que presenta una
revisión bibliográfica sobre el uso de las TIC en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje
con niños de 4 y 5 años. Tiene como objetivo conocer los fundamentos teóricos que
sustentan su uso en esta etapa de desarrollo. Para ello, se han recopilado una serie
de fuentes bibliográficas con un horizonte temporal de diez años de actualidad en los
ámbitos de TIC y medios digitales. Las fuentes utilizadas han sido artículos de revistas
académicas, informes de investigación, informes de organizaciones gubernamentales
y no gubernamentales, libros electrónicos y páginas webs educativas reconocidas. El
estudio comprende tres núcleos temáticos, los cuales abordan el recorrido histórico de
las TIC en la educación, las funciones y usos en el proceso educativo con niños de 4
y 5 años, las ventajas de su uso con esas edades, así como las desventajas. A modo
de reflexiones finales, se señala que las TIC pueden mejorar la enseñanza en este
nivel educativo, pues los contenidos curriculares se presentan de manera interactiva y
motivadora, lo cual beneficia la adquisición de aprendizajes en los niños y niñas; sin
embargo, es necesario tener en cuenta criterios claros y pertinentes para su integración
y aplicación, con el propósito de beneficiar el desarrollo integral de los niños en edad
preescolar.
The present state of the art presents a documented review on the use of ICT in the teaching-learning process with children of 4 and 5 years. The aim of knowing the theoretical foundations that support their use in this stage of development. For that purpose, a series of bibliographic sources have been compiled with a current time horizon of ten years in the fields of ICT and digital media. The sources used have been academic journals, research reports, reports from governmental and nongovernmental organizations, electronic books and educational websites. The study comprises three themes, which address the historical journey of ICT in education, the functions and uses in the educational process with children of 4 and 5 years old, the advantages of the use in those ages, as well as the disadvantages. As a way of reflection, we can say that technological resources can improve teaching at this educational level, as it is presented in an interactive and motivating way; however, it is necessary to take into account important aspects for its integration and application for the purpose of beneficiaries and to contribute to their learning process.
