a formarlo.
Lesbofeminismo is a social movement originated in Latin America, whose theory and praxis can be traced back to radical feminism and lesbian feminism. These are contextualized to the region’s reality through an analysis of the particular ways in which patriarchy, mandatory heterosexuality, racism, colonialism and geopolitics operate there. Previous studies about this movement are scarce, and all of them were carried out in other countries of Latin America. In Perú, there is a documented history of lesbian feminists’ aggrupations and their political actions through time, although there is not a more precise distinction between them and lesbofeministas. This study aims to determine that difference, and analyse the construction of the lesbofeminista movement in Perú. The main theoretical debates, which are the foundation of its political proposals, will be explored, and the extracted elements used for its framing’s elaboration in the local context will be analysed. Other socio-political circumstances, like the debate about “Gender Ideology”, that contribute to this elaboration will also be explored.
