The objective of the present investigation is the adaptation and standardization of the test ABFW: Expressive vocabulary for children from 2 to 6 years of age of educational institutions, public and private in the District of Chincha Alta. The test ABFW: expressive vocabulary, qualitatively and quantitatively examines the vocabulary that the child has. In the adapted version only the quantitative analysis was employed. The study consisted of 270 children from 2 to 6 years from 7 public and private educational institutions of the District of Chincha Alta. Subsequently; a uniform stratification was used by sex, age and type of school. The results indicate that the adaptation of the ABFW test: expressive vocabulary has proven to be reliable and valid. The reliability was estimated calculating the coefficient of internal consistency Alpha of Cronbach, which is quite high (97%), while the validity was estimated through the validity of content (expert judgment) and the index of homogeneity of the item which indicates that all items measure what they are suppose to measure. In addition, they were able to develop scales corresponding to help locate any level of development of the expressive vocabulary in children with schooling from 2 to 6 years. Thus contributing to the prevention and early and timely detection of any difficulty in the language for their rapid intervention.
