Estudio cualitativo de la empleabilidad en una empresa de seguros peruana

Resumen
El presente estudio plantea como objetivo identificar las categorías que comprenden la empleabilidad, teniendo en cuenta el enfoque basado en la atribución del empleador (Hogan, Chamorro-Premuzic & Kaiser, 2013). La investigación de esta variable se torna relevante en el Perú pues su estudio es incipiente en el país y los empleadores consideran que existe una escasez de talento asociada a la falta de habilidades. En ese sentido, se planteó una investigación cualitativa, a través de entrevistas a profundidad realizadas a gerentes de una compañía de seguros peruana. Como resultado se identificaron cuatro categorías: análisis y toma de decisiones, comunicación dirigida, comportamientos de ciudadanía organizacional y honestidad. Estos hallazgos evidencian que la empleabilidad estaría relacionada a las necesidades particulares de la organización o contexto. Ergo, se sugiere de fomentar la investigación del constructo para impulsar el desarrollo de los trabajadores desde dentro y fuera de las organizaciones.
This study seeks to identify the categories that comprise employability, taking into account the approach of the attribution of the employer (Hogan, Chamorro-Premuzic & Kaiser, 2013). The investigation of this variable becomes relevant in Peru because its study is emerging in the country and employers consider that there is a shortage of talent associated with lack of skills. In that sense, a qualitative research was raised through depth interviews with managers of a Peruvian insurance company. As a result four categories were identified: analysis and decision making, targeted communication, organizational citizenship behavior and honesty. These findings show that employability would be related to the particular needs of the organization or context. Ergo, it is suggested to encourage the research of the variable to promote the development of workers from the inside and outside organizations.
