In the present research, the following study question was posed: In what way does the consumption of Peruvian political theater influence the change of attitude towards violence in Peruvian society during the years after the Internal Armed Conflict – IAC (Conflicto Armado Interno - CAI)? The answer was: The consumption of Peruvian political theater influences the change of attitude towards violence in Peruvian society during the years after the IAC because it allows a reconstruction of the integrity and totality of people, as well as the contemplation of new scenarios suggested for the transformation of social reality. For the argumentation of this answer, we resorted to the systematization and analysis of pertinent sources that allowed us to arrive at specific conclusions about the usefulness of political theater portrayed in different theatrical performances, through which we could make a detailed observation of the principles and deontological duties of the performing arts, which make it possible to infer that the tools and themes used as part of political theater constitute an important element that contributes to the attitudinal change of the spectator, who upon observing the staging, becomes an active entity, which is capable of transforming its worldview of the reality that surrounds it, especially when it comes to historical conditions of violence in Peru. In this sense, political theater contributes to the reconstruction of the integrity and totality of people, thanks to the new scenarios it suggests, which cause an interaction between actor and spectator that, in sum, transform social reality.
