This research aims to describe the level of satisfaction with life and the level of moral reasoning in K-12 teachers, therefor these are the two dependent variables. The participants were 98 teachers from five schools chosen by their religious affiliation (secular, religious Catholic and evangelical religious) and the type of management (public, private or mixed). To describe the sample, 77.6% of them were women and the average age is 40.7 years. This study used a mainly qualitative methodology these methods were used to describe the variables, satisfaction with life and moral reasoning, and qualitative methods were used to find find a possible explanation for them. The instruments used were the Satisfaction with Life Scale (Diener, 1985), the Moral Judgement Test (Lind, 2008), a questionnaire to record the socio-demographic data of the participants and an interview for the school principals to know what institutional features could affect the dependent variables. The main results showed lower average scores on the Moral Judgement Test, according to the author of the test, and high levels on the Satisfaction with Life Scale. Likewise, no relationship between the dependent variables was found, but there were some links between them and the sociodemographic characteristics of teachers. It was found that the frequency of attendance at religious services is inversely related to moral reasoning and that people who profess the Catholic faith have scores significantly higher. In the same way it was found that married or cohabiting teachers have a higher life satisfaction.
