Abstract
This study presents the results of a documentary research that aims to unveil trends from collection, analysis, interpretation and reflection between the Intercultural Education approach at the Primary level of Education and the Project-Based Learning Methodology (PBL). Indeed, throughout Latin-American history, it has been evident the necessity to work from an intercultural educational approach to boost and increase values such as respect, tolerance and empathy in the entire educational community. Therefore, a precise implementation of an assertive methodology that implies and promotes the transversal approach of intercultural education is observed, which takes into consideration the active and joint participation of the members of the Primary School, and the social and cultural environment in which it develops. In this regard, the Project-Based Learning Methodology is not only valid from this approach, but also seeks for the interconnected work of the curricular areas for the student to find true meaning on the learning skills for daily life as research, critical judgment, tolerance and many others. Among the reflections, the adaptive functions of the methodology stand out, considering cultural notions and the promotion of values such as cooperation and respect that stem from the Intercultural Education approach.
