esclarecer la función del artista, el discurso (o no) de su obra y su relación con la sociedad;
Theater, understood as a professional activity, involves the achievement of certain assets for the viewer and society. Within this perspective, there is a discussion about what are these assets that the theater should offer in an essential way to be considered good. About those who take the position that art has as one of its aims to improve society, the ethics of this will is questioned by being able to associate with paternalistic practices. For this reason, this essay aims to analyze and clarify the role of the artist, the discourse (or not) of his work and his relationship with society; specifically, by the theatrical artist. Through this analysis, it is possible to reach a conclusion about the attitude that the artist must take when carrying out his theatrical activity that effectively manages to generate the constituent goods of his professional practice that include entertaining, producing aesthetic enjoyment , and generate a "positive transformation" in the viewer. This attitude moves away from paternalism to opt for a dialogical and political position that takes into account the freedom, dignity and will of thought of the spectator, who is considered to be an active being in the interpretation of the discourse and in the achievement of its goods.
