fundamentales relacionados a interculturalidad, educación bilingüe, género y

The thesis Management of the Aid to culture as a vector of democracy and economic growth project to expand the scope of benefits for women and girls in the Cenepa river basin presents the experience and results of the intervention in the Awajun communities in the Cenepa river basin, particularly with women and girls potters whose objectives were mainly oriented to the preservation of pottery traditions to strengthen their identity and as a mean for income generation in order to improve their quality of life. The hypothesis that the Awajun Project is an opportunity to influence the education of Awajun women and girl potters through the development of didactic materials developed from the production process and ceramic graphics that contribute to the readiness for reading-writing and mathematics of girls and illiterate women potters. The document addresses the description of the methodology and the theoretical framework of the intervention related to Local Economic Development as well as the fundamental concepts related to intercultural bilingual education, gender and the empowerment of women to whom the project was addressed. Although the Culture Project was formally developed between 2012 and 2015, the results have been consolidated over time and even in 2019 the creation and formal registration of the “Asociación de Madres Ceramistas del Cenepa” to the government institutions that give them the legality to be able to enter the market in better conditions. The Awajun Culture project met the objective of strengthening the production of Awajun pottery and articulate it to the market as anticipated in the project due to the improvement in its quality, standardization in size and diversification of its decoration; and in relation to the improvement in the formal education of women and girls to empower them, the pedagogical materials developed contribute to the preparation of the ceramic girls and in the consecution of the implementation of the Learning Circles for the illiterate Awajun women potters of the Cenepa.
