Abstract

The type of research is descriptive and comparative. The study sample consisted of 35 students who were evaluated through two methods: the Figure / Expressive Vocabulary Word Test and the Figure / Receptive Vocabulary Word Test, both by Morrison F. Gardner. From the results obtained, it was concluded that students perform better in comprehensive vocabulary than in expressive vocabulary. Consequently, it was evidenced that there are significant differences in the comprehensive and expressive vocabulary of students with hearing disabilities aged 4 to 6 years and 11 months when comparing them by chronological age and hearing age, but there were no differences when they were compared by gender and type of hearing amplification.
