The present study described the relationship between psychological well-being, its dimensions, and self-efficacy in a sample of elderly people from Jesús María. This research involved 71 elderly people with ages between 60 and 86 years old (M = 70.65, SD = 7.19), who attended the Older Adult Centre (CAM) of the district. The adaptation of the Psychological Well-being scale of Diaz et al. (2006), which has six dimensions: Self-acceptance, positive relations, autonomy, personal growth, purpose in life and environmental mastery, and the General self- efficacy Scale (GSE) of Baessler and Schwarzer (1996) were used for this purpose. Based on that, there were descriptive analysis, comparison of means and medians and correlations. The results indicate that there is a direct and significant relationship between the global psychological well- being as well as their dimensions, and self-efficacy. In addition, significant differences were found in well-being according to sex, level of education, having a partner and who the person lives with. Regarding sex, it was found that well-being is higher in men. Also, it was found that couples showed higher psychological well-being, positive relationships, personal growth, purpose in life and environmental mastery. Finally, it was found that those who live with their spouse and children have greater psychological well-being, purpose in life and positive relationships. In conclusion, it is beneficial for the elderly to establish interpersonal relationships because it seems this this will increase levels of psychological well-being and selfefficacy.
