Nuevos patrones de segregación socio-espacial en Lima y Callao 1990-2007
Abstract
La forma tradicional de interpretar los espacios segregados se basa en la relación de localización central y periférica entre los diferentes espacios en la ciudad. Esta mirada de la segregación corresponde a los modelos de desarrollo económico anteriores a la aplicación de los ajustes macroeconómicos implementados en América Latina y el Caribe a inicios de la década de 1980. Durante la década siguiente, los países de temprana restructuración macroeconómica comienzan a mostrar niveles de estabilización y crecimiento económico continuo; mientras que los países de tardío reajuste alcanzan similares resultados a inicios del siglo XXI. En ambas situaciones temporales, el éxito macroeconómico, se refleja en las nuevas dinámicas urbanas y sociales que transforman los espacios internos de las principales ciudades de la Región.
