Sátira y transgresión : Francisco "Pancho" Fierro, más allá del costumbrismo peruano del siglo XIX

Abstract

A través de un análisis y contextualización de las obras de Francisco "Pancho" Fierro se buscará descubrir lo satírico, burlesco y jocoserio dentro de este corpus de obras para justificar un entendimiento más profundo de la producción del artista. El interés es colocar las obras de Fierro en un espacio temporal y geográfico que ensambla las condiciones que afectarán el contenido, técnica y distribución de las obras de arte, principalmente sus dibujos a la aguada. Al artista, al habérsele atribuido una clasificación de costumbrista se le categoriza como reproductor de tipos limeños que limitan la interpretación de su corpus artístico a la imitación visual ilustrada. La presente tesis buscará profundizar en los contenidos de estas obras como resultado de la vida del artista y su contexto inmediato.

Through an analysis and contextualization of the works of Francisco "Pancho" Fierro will seek to discover the satirical, burlesque and jocular within these works to justify a deeper understanding of the artist's production. The main goal is to place the works of Fierro in a temporal and geographical space that assembles the conditions that will affect the content, technique and distribution of the works of art, mainly his watercolor drawings. The artist, having been attributed a classification of costumbrista, is categorized as a registrar of Lima's types and costumes that limit the interpretation of his body of artistic works to visual imitation. This thesis will seek to deepen the contents of these works as a result of the artist's life and its immediate context.
