Abstract
En los últimos años, los productos agrícolas de exportación “no tradicionales” han
liderado el desarrollo de la agricultura peruana. Lamentablemente, la agricultura orientada a los
mercados restringidos prácticamente se ha estancado, y ha disminuido aquélla dirigida a la industria.
Para que exista un desarrollo agrario razonablemente armónico es preciso que se definan y apliquen
políticas diferenciadas que respondan a las necesidades de las diferentes agriculturas de nuestro país.
Librarlas sólo a las fuerzas del mercado agudizará muy probablemente las diferencias en el sector
agrario, más aún cuando se avecina una economía cada vez más abierta donde hay que competir
internacionalmente.
