Anglicismos en el léxico de las actividades deportivas de los gimnasios españoles

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es la recopilación y análisis de los anglicismos más frecuentes en el léxico de las actividades deportivas ofrecidas por los gimnasios españoles, pues se trata de un campo inexplorado en la investigación sobre el anglicismo en la lengua española, que, desde hace años, cuenta con estudios centrados en otros ámbitos del deporte como el fútbol (Fernández1971; Alonso 1996; Rodríguez González 2012). Con tal fin, hemos analizado una muestra de 268 anglicismos detectados en los folletos y webs de 15 gimnasios. Este análisis no solo es cuantitativo, sino que también se describe las distintas funciones pragmáticas de uso, lo que permitirá establecer una serie de conclusiones significativas sobre el grado de madurez del anglicismo en español como fenómeno sociolingüístico y cultural.Palabras clave: anglicismos, léxico, pragmática, deporte AbstractThe aim of this paper is to compile and analyse the most frequent anglicisms in the lexicon used in sports activities offered by Spanish gyms. This domain remains unexplored in the research of the phenomenon of anglicisms in the Spanish language, since the published literature has focused so far on the lexicon of other sports such as football (Fernández 1971; Alonso1996; Rodríguez González 2012). We have studied a sample of 268 anglicisms taken from the brochures and websites of 15 gyms. Our analysis is not only quantitative but also describes different pragmatic functions of the anglicisms found in the data.
