Ítem Acceso Abierto Diseño interior de una peña tradicional enfocada en interacción social-musical(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024) Tovar Solar, Camila Milagros; Pontificia Universidad Católica del PerúThe musical clubs (peñas) are representative establishments of the Lima Creole culture. These are recreational venues that take place in a musical environment dominated by Creole music. Over the years and the adaptation of these spaces to modernity, the characteristic traditionality of these places has been lost. This is due to the reduction of the zones of socialmusical interaction between the public and the musicians, which sacrifices not only the essence, but also decreases the attendance of the public. For this reason, this project consists of carrying out the interior design of a traditional club (peña) focused on social-musical interaction. In this way, the mansion located at Av. Pedro de Osma 207, in the district of Barranco, was taken as a “container”, due to the favorable characteristics it offers for the development of the proposal. Likewise, essential shapes and patterns were taken from the ―republican house design style, as well as characteristic elements of traditional clubs to achieve a convergence between the traditional and the modern, and generate spatial transitions. In addition, phrases, characters and places representative of the supporters clubs were used as inspiration and name in the distribution and design proposal of the supporters club. The process and development of the design will be shown in order to reach a younger audience and preserve the validity of this cultural practice.
