dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo ofrece una idea general de lo que es la Biometalurgia y sus alcances. Pretende incentivar la investigación en ésta área, al tener en cuenta que los yacimientos mineros peruanos resultan muy apropiados para el uso de esta tecnología. La Biometalurgia abarca procesos relativamente sencillos pero multidisciplinarios (químicos, metalurgistas y biólogos), que posibilita la recuperación de constituyentes menores en minerales de forma económica.	es_ES
