En Tractatus 6.54 Wittgenstein sostiene que las proposiciones del Tractatus son sinsentidos. El carácter especial de las proposiciones del Tractatus, que por sí mismas son expresión de una actitud crítica hacia la filosofía, abre la cuestión de si una investigación sobre el importe psicologista de la filosofía tendrá resultados aplicables al propio Tractatus. En cualquier caso, el objetivo de esta exposición no es tratar ese punto1 . Me quedo un paso más atrás, en 6.53, donde Wittgenstein afirma que el método correcto de la filosofía llevaría a, «siempre que alguien quisiese decir algo metafísico, demostrarle que no había dado significado alguno a ciertos signos de sus proposiciones»2 . No está nada claro que la noción de sinsentido empleada aquí sea la misma que la noción filosófica3 de sinsentido.
